WOODCARVERS OF
NORTHWEST ARKANSAS
History on the
Woodcarvers of Northwest
Arkansas
The Woodcarvers of Northwest Arkansas is an organization bringing together people with a common interest in carving and preserving an art dating back to Egyptian times.
The Woodcarvers of Northwest Arkansas Club was founded in Rogers, Arkansas in 1977 by a small group of carvers. Their annual Woodcarvers Shows were started in 1978. It was incorporated as a non-profit corporation on June 5, 1984. Since then our little club has consistently grown.
The club further enhances the members interest and abilities through the exchange of ideas and information, promoting the art of woodcarving and provides a very enjoyable fellowship with other carvers from across Northwest Arkansas and the Ozarks region. The club has accumulated an extensive library of over 350 books, videos, resin casting go-bys that member can check out to guide them.
The club even holds seminars to brush up on techniques or learn new ones.
